Andy and Deb,
Congratulations and Happy Retirement! Andy - I remember you as a Lanikila counselor. Ohana must be my beloved Quinibeck site, I think. And, that wasn't the 1930's! I was camper there first (as was my Aunt), then came to Aloha Hive, then Aloha, and counselor Aloha for 1 year.

I must come and experience Ohana. The Phillips family would be very proud and shining down if I'm correct about Quinibeck site.

Best regards and admiration - Erin

Congratulations Deb & Andy! While deep down I knew this day would come, I am still in a state of disbelief. Your stewardship of Hulbert and Ohana (Shanty Shane) was remarkable, although not without countless amounts of blood, sweat and tears. Your have been servant leaders doing whatever it took to provide your guests with the best experience possible. Your impact on people, myself included, is impossible to measure. I wish you the best in your new adventures. ps- Let me know when you want to paddle the Channel Islands.

How can we all fully acknowledge and thank you both for the innumerable, minute, wonderful, thoughtful, enormous, special things you have brought to the Foundation, Hulbert, Family Camp, Ohana and each of us as individuals? For me, personally, our relationship began way back in 1991 when I was Lindsey's Hilander counselor... who would know then how you both would help me to grow as a counselor and a teacher through later years at Family Camp and at Ohana... and then to have Deb as our engagement photographer/ balloon chaser?? What a wonderful way to complete the circle! Thank you both for years of inspiration, laughter and showing me what hard work REALLY looks like. Happy Retirement - you deserve it! You will be missed.

As someone who has worked for Deb and Andy for many years now at both summer and winter family camps, may I say that this is a very fitting tribute to the love and service that they both gave to the camps, but it can't possibly know the many acts of individual kindness and generosity that they both also gave to me and countless others over the years. Thank you, Deb and Andy - and happy retirement days to you!

I learned how to row on that lake and I'm so glad the tradition continues! I miss the mornings on the lake like no other and think about them often as I continue to row.

Thank you for tackling the "how to I explain the value I find to other parents" issue. Your comment about your daughter wearing her fleece when she is getting ready for a challenge at home has stayed with me....
